How to play Sudoku

Sudoku is a logic puzzle, not a math test. You never add or multiply anything.

The goal

Fill all 81 squares using the digits 1 to 9 so every row, every column, and every 3×3 box contains each digit once. The bold lines show the boxes.

Finding your first number

Choose an empty square. Check which digits already appear in its row, column, and box. A digit that already appears in any of those three places cannot go there. Some squares will have only one possibility.

Useful tools

Dark numbers are fixed clues. Green numbers are yours. Tap Notes before entering small possible digits. Erase removes your entry, Undo reverses a move, Check highlights incorrect answers, and Hint fills one square correctly.

Daily challenge

Daily challenge offers one medium puzzle per UTC calendar day, identical for all players. Finishing it counts toward your daily streak, even if you used a hint. Your progress stays only in this browser.

Este menú traduce la guía, no los controles. Siguen en inglés salvo que el juego tenga su propio menú de idioma. Los juegos de palabras usan palabras en inglés.

Cómo jugar

Elige Classic o Daily. Selecciona casilla vacía y 1–9. Notes apunta candidatos, Undo deshace, Check comprueba y Hint da un número correcto. Pausa detiene el tiempo.

Reglas

Cada fila, columna y caja 3×3 usa 1–9 una vez. Las pistas iniciales son fijas. Cada tablero tiene una solución. No tener conflicto no garantiza acierto. Las pistas cuentan aunque deshagas. La diaria media cambia a las 00:00 UTC; días consecutivos ganados forman racha.

Estrategia y consejos

Empieza por unidades casi completas. Busca números con una sola posición posible y actualiza notas.
