How to play Sudoku

Sudoku is a logic puzzle, not a math test. You never add or multiply anything.

The goal

Fill all 81 squares using the digits 1 to 9 so every row, every column, and every 3×3 box contains each digit once. The bold lines show the boxes.

Finding your first number

Choose an empty square. Check which digits already appear in its row, column, and box. A digit that already appears in any of those three places cannot go there. Some squares will have only one possibility.

Useful tools

Dark numbers are fixed clues. Green numbers are yours. Tap Notes before entering small possible digits. Erase removes your entry, Undo reverses a move, Check highlights incorrect answers, and Hint fills one square correctly.

Daily challenge

Daily challenge offers one medium puzzle per UTC calendar day, identical for all players. Finishing it counts toward your daily streak, even if you used a hint. Your progress stays only in this browser.

Dieses Menü übersetzt die Anleitung, nicht die Spielsteuerung. Sie bleibt Englisch, sofern das Spiel kein eigenes Sprachmenü bietet. Wortspiele verwenden englische Wörter.

Spielanleitung

Wähle Classic oder Daily. Wähle leeres Feld und 1–9. Notes notiert Kandidaten, Undo nimmt zurück, Check prüft, Hint gibt richtige Zahl. Pause stoppt Zeit.

Regeln

Jede Zeile, Spalte und 3×3-Box enthält 1–9 einmal. Vorgaben sind fest, Lösung eindeutig. Ohne Konflikt heißt nicht richtig. Hinweise zählen trotz Rücknahme. Mittlere Tagesaufgabe wechselt 00:00 UTC; aufeinanderfolgende Siege bilden Serie.

Beginne mit fast vollen Einheiten. Suche Zahlen mit nur einem Platz und aktualisiere Notizen.
